Creating a paper exam

What's a paper exam?

There are 3 types of exams in OpExams:

  • Online Exams are taken online inside the platform with rich questions and an advaced proctoring system.

  • Quizzes are short exams that are solved by students to improve certain skills.

  • Paper Exams are traditional exams. They could be classic, multi-choice, or bubble sheet exams.

This article covers the Paper Exams.

Creating an exam

  1. From your sidebar, go to Courses > Course name > Exams.
    If it's your first time creating an exam, you will see a message saying that you don't have any exams yet.

  2. From the top right corner, click on the Add exam button.

  3. You will see 3 options, select Paper exam and then enter the exam name.

  4. Now you will see a list of the student groups in the course. Check the ones that will take the exam.

  5. Click on the Create button.

  6. Now you can head directly to the exam designer or to the overview page to add more details.

Optional steps

  • From the exam overview page, you can add a description to the exam to let students know what they should expect. Scroll down to description and click on the Edit icon button. Fill in the description and click Save.
